How did you refer to these?

This one’s sure to take you waaay back. Remember these sheets with the dotted lines and colored guides? They were the training grounds for your cursive loops and wobbly “Q”s—and chances are, you filled dozens of them in grade school. But what were they actually called? Drop your best guess in the comments!

I was a teacher and I used these papers to learn how to write. Growing up we were taught also how to write using these papers.
 
I think it’s callled manuscript paper because of the lines. Ours weren’t colored though. It was white wirh black lines and dashes. It was frustrating to use until I got the hang of it. 🥴

I call this a writing notebook. I bought one for my 4-year old granddaughter to help writing her letters.
 
The dotted line was the height of the small letters and the blue line was the height of the capitol letters.
the red line was the bottom of the letters
