Hula Hoop

Do you remember the joy of twirling a Hula Hoop around your waist, trying to keep it spinning? Whether you mastered it or spent more time picking it up, the thrill was the same. Those bright plastic hoops—with their signature shoop shoop sound—turned backyards and sidewalks into playgrounds of laughter. Did you nail tricks like “The Stork” or “The Knee Knocker”? Take a spin down memory lane and share YOUR nostalgic stories here!

I didn’t know the names of what I did with it. I twirled it around my neck arms and hips. I amazed even myself with the many ways I could play with it. I was forced to give it up over a Christmas outside displ. My parents took mine, yet I was the only one who ever played with it. Moving on…They wrapped it in aluminum foil first. Using fine wire they attached boughs of evergreen all around the hop. Then they wired the big Nova outside Christmas lights to encircle it on the hoop. They hung it centered on the living room front window. It shown bright at night. Wonderful decoration. Did they HAVE to use MY hoola-hoop? NO THEY DID NOT! 😡
