Is your BMW or Mini safe? Urgent recall issued for a serious brake defect—find out if your car is affected!

Attention, drivers of luxury vehicles!

A significant safety alert has been issued that may impact your ride.

BMW North America has announced an urgent recall affecting a range of models from the esteemed Rolls-Royce, BMW, and MINI brands.

This recall is due to a critical flaw that could compromise your vehicle's stopping power.

The issue: A faulty weld could lead to brake failure

The problem lies in the integrated brake control module’s servomotor, where an improperly welded hollow shaft may fail.

This defect could cause:
  • Loss of power brake assist
  • Rear brakes becoming inoperative
  • Failure of antilock brake system (ABS) and dynamic stability control (DSC)
If the rear brakes fail, only the emergency brake function will remain—posing serious risks, especially at high speeds or in emergency stops.
