Italian Sausage and Peppers Pockets
Hi all! My 12 year old granddaughter and I love to cook, bake, create, etc. here's a recipe that we made for the first time the other nite, hope you like it.
Italian Sausage and Peppers Pockets
Ingredients include: 1 lb hot and sweet Italian sausage, several red and green peppers, a couple of fresh garlic pieces, two medium size onions, sliced, homemade marinara sauce, 2 containers of Pillsbury grands rolls ( you can use store brand also)
Preparation: Boil sausages until nearly fully cooked, cut up all ingredients into bite sized pieces, prepare your own sauce (we Italians are particular Abt foods) or you can use jarred sauce, ,,,,,you can brown the sausage after slicing a little if you want......combine all ingredients, but do Not add too much sauce, just a little,,,,,flatten out the grands biscuits, fill but do not overstuff, with ingredients and fold over, pinch closed with fork all around.....now bake in oven set on 350 degrees until golden brown. Serve with more sauce on the side for dipping and a salad! Mangia! Enjoy.
