Jicama Salad

This crisp and colorful recipe will give you a refreshing crunch with a zesty twist in every bite.

Ingredients:
  • 1/4 cup sherry vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1 small jicama, peeled and julienned
  • 4 navel oranges, segmented
  • 1/4 cup roughly chopped cilantro
  • 1 jalapeño, seeded and minced
  • 4 ripe avocados, halved, pitted, skinned and sliced
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Flaky sea salt, for sprinkling
Method:
  1. Make the Vinaigrette
    In a bowl, combine sherry vinegar and honey, then season with kosher salt and black pepper. Slowly drizzle in olive oil while whisking continuously to emulsify.
  2. Assemble the Salad
    Gently mix jicama, orange segments, cilantro, and jalapeño into the vinaigrette.
  3. Plate & Serve
    Arrange avocado slices on a serving platter, drizzle with lime juice, and sprinkle with flaky sea salt. Top with the jicama salad mixture, ensuring everything is evenly coated with dressing. Serve immediately.
Optional garnish: Extra cilantro leaves or a pinch of chili flakes for added heat.
