Let’s just say the wheel wasn’t the only thing spinning on “Wheel of Fortune” on this game night!

Something unexpected happened on a familiar TV stage—leaving the audience in a mix of shock and laughter as one of entertainment’s most recognizable faces found themselves in a less-than-graceful spotlight moment.

Ryan Seacrest, the charismatic host of Wheel of Fortune, took an unexpected tumble on stage, turning a playful segment into an unforgettable moment.

The incident occurred during a recent episode themed around Festivals and Celebrations.

Seacrest, known for his smooth hosting skills and quick wit, was introducing viewers to his newfound favorite festival–the Gloucester Cheese Rolling Festival in the UK.

This quirky event involves participants racing down a steep hill in pursuit of a rolling wheel of cheese, a tradition that dates back to 1826 and is as entertaining as it is perilous.

Seacrest, with his usual flair, quipped, “Well, I found my new favorite festival. It's called Gloucester Cheese Rolling Festival in the UK,” following a segment that had already sparked some divided reactions due to a crude joke.

He continued, “Participants race down a hill chasing after a wheel of cheese, but in the end, you get the cheese. So, what could be better?”

His co-host, the ever-graceful Vanna White, stood by with a Wheel of Fortune-branded wheel, ready to simulate the cheese-rolling experience.

As footage of the actual festival played in the background, Vanna posed the question, “Are you ready to try it?”

Seacrest, with a glint in his eye, responded confidently, “I was born for this.”

What happened next was a blend of slapstick humor and sheer surprise. As Vanna rolled the wheel across the stage, Seacrest dashed after it and executed a dive that ended in a full-on faceplant on the studio floor.

The audience and Vanna herself appeared stunned by the host's commitment to the bit.

While the live telecast spared viewers from witnessing Seacrest's daring dive, the Wheel of Fortune social media account later shared a video capturing his sprint and tumble.

The clip showed Seacrest, ever the showman, returning to his feet and triumphantly rejoining Vanna as the episode wrapped up, much to the delight and amusement of fans.

Social media buzzed with reactions. One fan, RobCorley95, marveled, “Who in the wheel world knew that Ryan could run that fast for cheese?” while rachael.88 cheered, “That was awesome!!”

Others joined in with their praise and playful jabs, with darrelpullie joking, “‘Tis but a scratch! He’ll live!” and Margarita Coego simply stating, “Ryan Seacrest is great!”

The enthusiasm extended to Seacrest's tenure as host, with fans like Karin Nilsson expressing their approval: “Ryan is wonderful. Wheel is where I’ve really learned and appreciated how awesome he is. Great choice!”

The Cooper's Hill Cheese-Rolling and Wake, as the festival is officially known, is a time-honored tradition where participants chase a wheel of Double Gloucester Cheese down a 200-yard hill.

The cheese gets a significant head start and can reach speeds of over 80 miles per hour. The winner is the first to cross the finish line at the bottom of the hill, not necessarily the one who catches the cheese.

This year's event is set to take place on Monday, May 26, continuing a legacy of eccentric British festivities.
