Love At First Sight
A gentleman was dining alone in a nice, quiet restaurant—white tablecloths, candlelight, the whole nine yards. Sitting at the next table was a lovely redheaded woman, and he couldn’t help but glance over now and then, admiring her from a distance. Still, he was far too shy to say a word.
Suddenly, the woman sneezed—and out popped her glass eye, flying right toward him!
Without missing a beat, he reached out, caught it mid-air, and calmly handed it back.
She was absolutely mortified. “Oh dear, I’m so sorry,” she said, popping it back in place. “Please, let me buy you dinner as a thank-you.”
He agreed, and they ended up having a wonderful evening—dinner, conversation, a nightcap, and eventually, he stayed over. The next morning, she made him a full breakfast—eggs, bacon, fresh coffee, the works.
The man was stunned. “You’re amazing,” he said. “Are you always this kind and generous to strangers?”
She smiled and said, “No… you just happened to catch my eye.”
