Low Sodium Sausage Patties (No Salt Added)

Craving a savory breakfast sausage without the salt? These juicy, herby patties come together in 20 minutes—no special equipment, no fillers, just big flavor from maple, sage, and spices. Ingredients:

  • 1 lb no-salt-added ground pork
  • 1 tbsp pure maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp low-sodium Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp ground sage
  • ½ tsp dried rosemary
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp red chili flakes (optional)

Directions:

  1. In a bowl, mix pork with maple syrup, Worcestershire, garlic/onion powders, sage, rosemary, pepper, and chili flakes.
  2. Heat a cast-iron or nonstick skillet over medium.
  3. Form 12–15 golf-ball-size portions; flatten into patties.
  4. Cook 4 minutes per side until browned and the centers reach 145°F.
  5. Serve hot. Refrigerate leftovers up to 3 days.
