Maple Bacon French Toast Sandwich

Golden and crisp on the outside, with a center of perfectly fried eggs and savory bacon—this French toast sandwich is the ultimate sweet and savory delight!

Ingredients:
  • 2 eggs, beaten​
  • 4 slices bread​
  • 4 slices bacon​
  • 2 eggs (for frying)​
  • ½ cup maple syrup​
Directions:
  1. Dip each bread slice in beaten eggs and cook on a lightly oiled griddle until browned. Set aside.​
  2. Cook bacon in a skillet over medium-high heat until evenly browned. Drain and reserve 1 tablespoon of the grease.​
  3. Fry two eggs in the reserved bacon grease to your liking.​
  4. Top one toast slice with a fried egg and bacon, then cover with another toast slice.​
  5. Drizzle maple syrup over the sandwich and, if desired, sprinkle it with powdered sugar.​
