Mars Mission Interview
NASA once announced they were looking for one brave soul to travel to Mars—on a one-way ticket. They lined up applicants and asked each how much money they would want for the mission.
The first was an engineer. He said, “I’d take a million dollars. I’d donate it to M.I.T. to help train the next generation of engineers.”
The second was a doctor. He said, “I’d need two million. A million for my family to live on, and a million to fund medical research.”
Then came a lawyer. When asked, he leaned in close and whispered, “Three million.”
The interviewer frowned. “Three million? Why so much?”
The lawyer grinned and said, “Simple—you keep a million, I’ll keep a million, and we’ll send the engineer to Mars.”
