Mirror, Mirror On The Wall
After spending his whole life tucked away in the quiet hills of Kentucky, an old farmer decided it was high time he saw the big city.
While wandering through a department store, something shiny caught his eye—a mirror. He’d never seen one before.
Holding it up, he gasped, “Well, would you look at that… a picture of my daddy!”
Tickled by his discovery, he bought it and took it home. But on the way, he remembered that his wife, Lizzy, never did have a soft spot for his father.
So, to keep the peace, he hung the “picture” out in the barn. Every morning before heading to the fields, he’d sneak out for a quick look.
After a few days of his secret barn visits, Lizzy’s curiosity got the better of her.
Once her husband left for the day, she marched out to the barn to see what he’d been hiding. There, hanging on the wall, she found the mirror.
She stared into it, scowled, and huffed, “So that’s the homely old woman he’s been foolin’ around with!”
