Parachuting Beavers?

In the 1940's, Idaho’s wildlife managers were at a loss. Beaver populations had grown significantly in areas where their natural habitat was shrinking due to development. Beavers were causing flooding by building dams near populated areas. To solve the problem, wildlife officials devised a unique solution: relocating the beavers to remote, unpopulated wilderness areas. But instead of using traditional transportation methods, they decided to use airplanes and the beavers were placed in specially designed wooden crates with parachutes attached! Got a fun fact for us?
