Some days unfold exactly how we’d hoped. Others? Not so much. But even the ones that go sideways often leave us with the best laughs, the wildest twists, or the stories we tell again and again over coffee. There’s something about time (and perspective) that turns even chaos into charm.
I remember being in India with a colleague for work, and we had planned to visit a few spots one weekend. We stopped by a mall to grab some cash, but none of the ATMs were working! We only had a few rupees left, so we reluctantly headed back to the hotel and ended up spending the whole weekend there. I remember it clearly because by Monday, our big boss visited the office, and we joked about asking if she had any cash on her. Of course, we didn’t—we only said hello to her.
