Quote of the Day 11.09.2025
“By the time you’re 80 years old, you’ve learned everything. You only have to remember it.”
— George Burns
— George Burns
Ah, George Burns—always knew how to tell the truth and get a good laugh at the same time!
There’s something so wonderfully honest about this line, isn’t there? By the time folks hit those golden years, they’ve already sat through life’s greatest classroom—full of lessons about patience, love, loss, and maybe how to fix a leaky faucet with duct tape.
You've learned what really matters, what doesn’t, and that sometimes, the best answer is just a good sense of humor.
Of course, the tricky part comes with that last bit: Remembering it all! Between misplaced glasses, forgotten punchlines, and walking into a room only to wonder why, it’s safe to say our brains like to keep things interesting. But isn’t that part of the fun? Every forgotten detail makes the rediscovery just as sweet.
So let’s hear it, GrayViners: What’s one piece of wisdom or advice you’ve learned over the years that’s worth remembering (even if you occasionally forget it)?
Cheers!
Blue
