Safety warning: A massive vehicle recall is underway—find out if you’re impacted!

When it comes to driving, safety is always the top priority. But what happens when your car has a hidden issue you don’t even know about?

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has issued multiple recalls affecting nearly 260,000 vehicles from major brands.

It’s time to check if you drive one of these models.

Between March 3 and March 9, 2024, the NHTSA released recall notices covering a variety of problems, from fire hazards to power loss.

Here’s a breakdown of some of the biggest recalls you should be aware of:

Volkswagen is recalling certain 2024 to 2025 Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport models due to an engine cover that may be improperly installed.

This can lead to the cover coming into contact with hot engine parts, creating a fire hazard.
  • Affected vehicles: 177,493
  • Solution: Volkswagen dealers will remove the engine cover for free.
  • Notification letters will be sent by April 18.

Lincoln Recall: LED Logo Lights Malfunction

Some 2015 to 2017 Lincoln Navigator SUVs have exterior LED logo lights that may short-circuit due to moisture exposure.

This increases the risk of an electrical issue.
  • Affected vehicles: 35,328
  • Solution: Lincoln dealers will disconnect the lamps for free.
  • Notification letters will be sent by March 24.

Certain 2024 to 2025 Audi Q4 E-Tron SUVs, Q4 E-Tron Sportbacks, and 2024 ID.4 models may have a faulty on-board battery charger that could prevent the 12-volt battery from charging, leading to a sudden loss of power.

  • Solution: Ford dealers will update the brake control software for free.
  • Notification letters will be mailed by April 14.

Mercedes-Benz Recall: Software Glitch in Hybrids

A software error in the high-voltage starter alternator control unit has led to a recall for several hybrid models from 2023 to 2025.

This includes AMG GT, GLC, S-Class, and SL 63 S models, which could experience powertrain failure.
  • Affected vehicles: 2,943
  • Solution: Mercedes-Benz dealers will update the software at no cost.
  • Notification letters will be sent by April 29.
