A well-dressed gentleman walks into a bank in downtown New York and asks to borrow $5,000 for a two-week business trip to Europe. The loan officer says, “We’ll need some kind of security.” So the man hands over the keys to his shiny new Rolls-Royce parked out front—worth nearly half a million dollars!
The bank agrees, takes the car, and parks it safely in their garage. After the man leaves, the staff can’t stop chuckling—imagine leaving a Rolls-Royce as collateral for a measly five grand!
Two weeks later, the gentleman returns, repays the loan plus $20 in interest. The loan officer says, “Sir, we looked you up—you’re a millionaire! Why on earth did you need to borrow $5,000?”
The man smiles and says, “Well, tell me—where else in New York can I park my Rolls for two weeks for just $20?”
