She who reaches the stars: Find out which celebrities will join the first all-female spaceflight since 1963!

The final frontier is calling, and an all-female crew is answering with a resounding “yes!”

Blue Origin, the aerospace company founded by Jeff Bezos, is preparing for its first all-woman spaceflight since 1963, and the excitement is as boundless as the cosmos.

Hold on tight as we take you through their journey of making her-story!

In a monumental moment for space travel and women's history, pop icon Katy Perry, former news anchor Lauren Sanchez, and CBS This Morning anchor Gayle King make up the trailblazing women who are gearing up for a journey that's out of this world—literally.

Lauren Sanchez, Jeff Bezos' fiancée, has been the driving force behind this empowering mission. She was said to have “brought the crew together” for the “empowering mission.

With a vision to challenge perspectives and inspire future generations, Sanchez has assembled a team of explorers ready to share their stories and make a lasting impact.

Blue Origin's statement celebrates the mission's potential to empower and create a ripple effect of inspiration across the globe.

"[Sanchez] is honored to lead a team of explorers on a mission that will challenge their perspectives of Earth, empower them to share their own stories, and create lasting impact that will inspire generations to come," the rocket company said in a statement.

King, who shared the news on This Morning last Thursday said that the feeling of flying to space is “terrifying and exciting.”

"It's like how I felt about to deliver a baby." she added. She also turned 70 just last December, which made her express, "I thought I wanted to open myself up to new adventures and step out of my comfort zone."

With the support of her children and her close friend Oprah Winfrey, King decided to seize this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Joining Perry and Sanchez on this historic flight are film producer Kerianne Flynn, civil rights activist Amanda Nguyen, and former NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe.

Each woman brings a unique background and set of experiences to the mission, embodying the spirit of exploration and the power of diverse perspectives.

The upcoming space mission will mark the 11th human flight for Blue Origin's New Shepard program. Since its inaugural launch with Bezos aboard in December 2021, the New Shepard rocket has successfully conducted nine other human flights to the edge of space.

With 52 individuals having crossed the Kármán line aboard the New Shepard, Blue Origin is steadily expanding the community of civilian astronauts.

This all-female flight pays homage to the last such mission, a solo spaceflight by Russian cosmonaut Valentina Tereshkova in June 1963.

Tereshkova's pioneering journey paved the way for women in space, and now, nearly 60 years later, a new chapter is being written.
