SNL’s “OnlySeniors” sketch stirs laughs—and more than a few blushes

These days, people are always looking for new ways to bring in a little extra cash.

But one Saturday Night Live sketch this week took that idea into truly unexpected territory—especially for the over-60 crowd.

The result? Shock, laughter, and a few viewers checking if their remote had the parental controls on.

The internet has plenty to say about this wild take on senior side hustles.

In a recent SNL sketch, Quinta Brunson and Kenan Thompson played an elderly married couple who revealed their unconventional new source of income: a subscription-based streaming site for seniors.

The parody, called “OnlySeniors,” is a not-so-subtle nod to popular content platforms—with a retirement-age twist.

The couple explains to their family that they were finally approved for a life insurance plan that accepted all preexisting conditions… as long as they set up a camera and “do stuff to each other.”

Brunson and Thompson leaned into the absurd, portraying their characters as proud, open, and surprisingly tech-savvy grandparents.

“Watch the money start pouring in,” Thompson’s character declares while explaining how their fans—nicknamed “chat babies”—send requests.

Whether it’s a little dancing or something a bit more risqué, the couple says they’re happy to oblige.

At one point, their daughter (played by Ego Nwodim) voices her horror—only to be interrupted mid-rant when Thompson activates a remote-controlled device for Brunson’s character.

The sketch ramps up from there, with the couple detailing how they occasionally invite their neighbors, the Johnsons, to join the livestream.

They're “buck ball naked,” Thompson casually says, delivering one of the night’s biggest laugh lines.

The sketch struck a balance between raunchy and ridiculous, with the kind of exaggerated humor that’s made SNL famous for decades.
