Ingredients:
- ½ cup (1 stick) butter
- ½ cup white sugar
- 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon (or to your taste)
- 4 Granny Smith apples – peeled, cored, and sliced
Directions:
- Get everything ready. Peel, core, and slice your apples. Set them aside.
- Melt the butter. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add sugar and cinnamon. Stir in the sugar and cinnamon until the sugar is fully dissolved and it smells heavenly.
- Cook the apples. Add your sliced apples to the skillet. Stir gently to coat them well.
- Let them simmer. Cook for 5 to 8 minutes, stirring now and then, until the apples are tender but not mushy.
- Serve warm. These are delicious on their own, over pancakes, with pork chops, or alongside a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
