Ingredients:
  • ½ cup (1 stick) butter
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon (or to your taste)
  • 4 Granny Smith apples – peeled, cored, and sliced

Directions:

  1. Get everything ready. Peel, core, and slice your apples. Set them aside.
  2. Melt the butter. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Add sugar and cinnamon. Stir in the sugar and cinnamon until the sugar is fully dissolved and it smells heavenly.
  4. Cook the apples. Add your sliced apples to the skillet. Stir gently to coat them well.
  5. Let them simmer. Cook for 5 to 8 minutes, stirring now and then, until the apples are tender but not mushy.
  6. Serve warm. These are delicious on their own, over pancakes, with pork chops, or alongside a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
