Large-brained mammals were long thought to be the only animals who could tell individual faces apart. But a number of studies have claimed that honeybees (and some wasps!) can recognize one another. Not only that, but honeybees can recognize AND remember human faces! According to scientists, this has revealed much about the neural requirements needed for cognitive tasks.
