When it comes to spending big for Mom, California leads the pack with average gift baskets topping $95, followed by New York at $75, Massachusetts at around $73, Texas at an average of $69, and followed by Nevada at $67.

Mother’s Day spending is expected to outpace Father’s Day by more than $11 billion, with Father’s Day projected at $22.4 billion, according to the National Retail Federation
