The Airport Announcement
We’re sitting at the gate, waiting for a delayed flight.
People are tired, cranky, and scrolling on their phones.
Then the gate agent picks up the mic and says,
“Attention passengers: we will begin boarding… when I feel like it.”
Half the crowd laughs. The other half gasps.
She continues:
“Just kidding… unless you keep crowding the gate.”
Suddenly everyone’s sitting down, perfectly quiet, like schoolkids who just got called out.
Five minutes later, she says,
“Alright, I feel like it.
”
