The All-You-Can-Eat KFC
It sounds like a myth, but in some parts of the United States, you really can find a KFC buffet.
While most KFC restaurants serve à la carte or combo meals, a handful of KFC buffet locations have existed across the Midwest and South, mainly in Tennessee, North Carolina, and South Carolina. These spots feature a hot bar stocked with fried chicken, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, coleslaw, biscuits, and desserts—all available for a set price.
The buffet concept began decades ago, when KFC experimented with dine-in formats to attract more families. Though most locations have phased out buffets in recent years—especially after the COVID-19 pandemic—a few still operate, cherished by locals as a nostalgic dining experience.
The setup is simple: diners grab a plate, serve themselves from a rotating spread of KFC classics, and return for seconds (or thirds) until they’re full.
