The Armless Bell Ringer
After Quasimodo passed away, the bishop of Notre Dame announced that the cathedral needed a new bell ringer.
Determined to find the right person, he climbed the belfry to hold interviews himself.
After several failed attempts, an armless man appeared and insisted he could do the job.
Skeptical but curious, the bishop watched as the man began ringing the bells beautifully—using his face!
The bishop was amazed, but before he could offer the position, the man slipped, fell out the window, and landed in the street below.
When the bishop rushed down to the growing crowd, someone asked who the man was.
The bishop sighed and said, “I don’t know his name... but his face rings a bell.”
