Sina Yenel, chief strategy officer at Regal Brands Global, believes this move is more than just a logo change—it’s about reconnecting with the brand’s rich heritage.

“The disposal of the classic logo in 2022 was the biggest betrayal of the brand,” Yenel shared with Retail Dive. “This is a brand that’s been around for 198 years.”


Lord & Taylor’s Resurgence: A New Chapter​

After facing financial setbacks, including the default of its previous owner, the Saadia Group, Regal Brands acquired Lord & Taylor’s intellectual property earlier this year. Since then, Regal Brands has assembled a 75-person team to reimagine the iconic retailer for today’s shoppers.

This revival isn’t about chasing the latest trends; instead, Lord & Taylor aims to provide timeless fashion. The focus is on offering clothing and products that stand the test of time. “Lord & Taylor should be about fashion that lasts,” Yenel emphasized.


The company’s comeback will start with an emphasis on e-commerce, featuring home goods, dresses, and footwear. And to ensure a more personalized experience, Lord & Taylor is introducing US-based customer service to help online shoppers feel more connected.

The Future of Shopping: Blending Tradition with Innovation​

Looking ahead, Lord & Taylor envisions returning to physical retail spaces, possibly through pop-up shops or shop-in-shop experiences. This strategy aims to bring back the “fun and entertainment” of department stores while combining traditional shopping with modern innovation.
