The Priciest Pizza You Can Actually Order
You’ve heard of fancy toppings. Maybe truffle or lobster. But 24-karat gold?
At Industry Kitchen in New York City, one menu item steals the spotlight—and your wallet. It’s a luxury pizza priced at $2,700, officially recognized as one of the most expensive in the world.
The crust is made with squid ink and aged for 48 hours. Then it’s topped with an over-the-top lineup: Stilton blue cheese, Hudson Valley foie gras, shaved French truffles, Osetra and Almas caviar, and sheets of 24-karat edible gold. There’s even a version with an optional extra $700 in premium caviar—if you’re feeling extra generous.
It takes at least two days’ notice to order, and most diners do it for birthdays, big celebrations, or the photo op of a lifetime.
It might sound like a food prank, but the pizza is very real—and people really do buy it. Whether it's worth the price? That’s between you and your appetite.
