The White Baby and The Black Sheep
A professor is sent to a remote part of Africa to live among a tribal community. He spends several years there, teaching the locals reading, writing, math, and science.
One day, the chief’s wife gives birth to a white baby. The tribe is stunned. The chief takes the professor aside and says, “Now look—you're the only white man we've ever seen, and suddenly my wife has a white child? Doesn’t take a genius to connect the dots.”
The professor, trying to stay calm, says, “Chief, this is just nature at work. What we have here is something called an albino. Happens every now and then. In fact, take a look at that field over there. All the sheep are white—except one black one. Nature’s full of surprises.”
The chief pauses, squints out at the field, then leans in and says, “Tell you what—let’s make a deal. You don’t say anything about that black sheep, and I won’t say anything about that white baby.”
