Ingredients:
  • 1/3 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup butter, cubed
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 can (10-1/2 ounces) condensed chicken broth (undiluted)
  • 3/4 cup 2% milk
  • 2 cups cubed cooked turkey
  • 1 cup cooked peas
  • 1 cup cooked baby carrots (whole)
  • 1 tube (16.3 ounces) large refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
Directions:
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. In a 10-inch cast-iron or another ovenproof skillet, melt the butter and sauté the chopped onion until softened.
  3. Stir in the flour, salt, and pepper, blending well.
  4. Gradually whisk in the chicken broth and milk. Bring the mixture to a boil and cook, stirring occasionally, until thickened and bubbly (about 2 minutes).
  5. Add the cubed turkey, peas, and carrots to the skillet. Stir to combine and heat through.
  6. Separate the biscuits and arrange them on top of the stew mixture.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through. Enjoy!
