Welcome Back, Krotter

Do you remember Welcome Back, Kotter? That theme song alone could take you straight back—"Welcome back… your dreams were your ticket out." It was the ‘70s, and every week Mr. Kotter returned to his old Brooklyn high school classroom, full of wisecracks, heart, and the unforgettable Sweathogs. It wasn’t just about the laughs—it was about second chances, oddballs finding their way, and a teacher who never gave up on his students. Do you have a favorite episode or character? No favorite episode that I can recall. I liked Mr. Kotter the most. He always had time for his students. He cared about each one of them. He opened his home to them. I’ve never had a teacher who even came close to acting like that. I had a crush on his character. Gabe Kaplan acted his part well. 😊
