Would You Rather? 05.07.2025

How's you Wednesday going, GrayViners? If it’s been a little bumpy, maybe we can smooth it out together. Let’s take a quick mental getaway: Would you rather go on a spontaneous trip or a well-planned vacation? What do you think you'll do? And where would you go?

When my friend and I went to Japan in 2017, we had no itinerary at all, and it ended up being the best trip I’ve ever taken. I just love a good adventure! But I can see the positive impact of a well-planned vacation. I guess I'll just rely on my friends who enjoy doing that for future travels. 😁

Enough about me! Share your pick and your fun stories in the comments!

It would be the spontaneous trip, for sure! Our best trip was getting lost near Kanab, Utah. We saw more interesting places and things than we would’ve experienced on a planned trip. 😎

I like a mix. Several years ago, we went on an Alaskan cruise, with many off ship adventures. We had some planned excursions, but also a few that we did our own thing. We were able to explore some areas that we would not had seen otherwise.

I have done both but the spontaneous are the most fun. My Sister was a great traveler and so fun to go with. We both loved spur of the moments. Gathered many memories and when she passed,. had those to cherish. No fun traveling alone now.

I love going on adventures and deciding where to go while driving. Used to get kids and grandkids in the car and just during, letting grandkids choose where to true and how long to go in each direction. When to stop for the night

We have done vacations both way. Picked the location and checked out several things to do while there. But we have picked a location and waited until we got there to find out hidden treasures from locals. Spontaneous can be fun
