If you’ve ever worked with or received a letter from a certain employment agency, you might be owed some serious money.

A new $1.2 million settlement means thousands of Americans could get a payout of up to $5,000—and you might only need a single document to claim it.

In May 2023, TalentLaunch, a national employment agency, was hit by a data breach that exposed sensitive personal information of around 119,000 people.

If you spent time or money dealing with the breach, you may be reimbursed for:

To get reimbursed, you’ll need official documentation—not handwritten notes or self-prepared logs.

1. Check your mail for the data breach notice from TalentLaunch.
2. Gather documents if you’re claiming for financial losses.
3. Submit your claim before the deadline: July 25, 2024.

Payments will be issued after the final court hearing on August 12, 2024.

TalentLaunch isn’t the only company under fire.

If you’ve worked with LoanCare, you could be eligible for up to $6,500 in a separate $5.9 million data breach settlement. In that case, a single bill might be all you need to prove your claim.
