When you mentioned cake I had to say this. I was making my famous sour cream coffee cake but I forgot to add the four eggs that were needed. It was much too late to do anything so I baked it anyway. It came out mushy but still tasted yummy according to my grandsons!!

Thank you for sharing that @Geri ! Even without the eggs, I love that your grandsons still thought it was yummy—that’s true family support right there. Have you ever tried remaking the cake with all the right ingredients since then, or has the “mushy version” become its own little family classic?
