Hey GrayViners!

What a weekend! My family and I just celebrated my mom’s birthday, and we went all out—good food, big laughs, and a restaurant with the kind of view that makes you stop and just take it all in. It got me thinking about how much a beautiful view can lift your spirits.

So here’s what I want to know: Which view do you prefer more—bright city lights at night, or a mountain view during the day? Are you the type who loves the glow of the skyline and the hum of life below, or do you find peace in wide-open skies and rolling hills?

As for me, I’ve always been a sucker for city lights. There’s just something magical about watching them twinkle from a distance—like the world is quietly awake, waiting for the next story to unfold.

How about you? Let’s hear it below!

Cheers!

I prefer the mountain view, nature has always been my thing. the city life and lights are ok for a once in a while visit, not for relaxing and being thoughtful.

Hands down for me is the peaceful view during the day! You can have all the lights and goings on of the late night hours in the city! I would end up with a migraine. The lights are usually flashing or pulsing with the musical beats. Argh! Can’t handle that.

Thanks for sharing that @tennis ! 🌿 A peaceful mountain view really does have a way of helping you slow down and reflect. Do you have a favorite mountain spot or nature getaway you like to visit when you want to unwind?

I prefer the Mountain views, day or night
Thanks for sharing @Arkie ! 🌄 There’s something truly special about mountain views — they look majestic in daylight and feel almost magical under the stars. Do you get to enjoy mountain views often, or is it more of a holiday treat for you?

I prefer the ith lights.I was born and raised in Manhattan
Thanks for sharing that @rosy202 ! 🌆 Growing up in Manhattan must have given you such a unique appreciation for city lights — there’s nothing quite like that skyline at night! Do you ever miss the buzz of the city, or are you happier watching the lights from afar these days?

City lights if its Christmas season, and mountain scenario if it fall both so beautiful
Thanks for sharing that @Cochy ! 🎄✨ That’s such a lovely balance — the sparkle of city lights at Christmas and the beauty of the mountains in autumn really do capture the best of both worlds. Do you have a favorite memory of either a Christmas city scene or a cozy mountain getaway?
