Hey GrayViners!

Halloween’s come and gone, but the stories (and candy wrappers) are still hanging around!

Whether you spent the evening greeting little ghosts and goblins at your door, watching a classic spooky movie, or just enjoying the peace and quiet, we’d love to know how your night went. After all, half the fun of Halloween is hearing how everyone else celebrated!

So tell us: How did you spend your Halloween?

Did you hand out candy, dress up with the grandkids, or maybe sneak an extra chocolate or two when no one was looking? 😄

As for me, I kept it simple: Stayed in, watched a few trick-or-treaters come and go, and somehow ended up with more candy than I started with. (Funny how that happens every year, isn’t it?)

Now, your turn! Share your Halloween story below—funny, sweet, or spooky, we want to hear it all!

Cheers!
Blue 💙

I bought a couple bags of candy (the kind I like so it wouldn't go to waste lol) and only had 2 trick or treaters. I miss the old days, Just 20 years ago my street was lined with cars and trick or treaters. We had to go back to the store several times back then.

Because I live in the country we do not get trick or treaters. My church had a Trunk or Treat events on 10/29. We expected 350 kids and got many more. Each or the 30 trunks told a different Bible story. I helped with the registration. We also had free popcorn and cotton candy, a fire truck and a hay ride. It was a lot of fun.

We gave out a lot of candy to those that came to our front door. Most had parents standing in the drive way. I bought too much candy so I gave it to an organization to share with their members.

We go to our daughter's house every year, order pizza, and my husband and I hand out candy while my daughter and her husband go around the neighborhood with their kids. We love doing this. This year we had around 110 kids. Love it !!!!!

Thanks for sharing that @NIBOR0 ! Sounds like you were well prepared — and smart to pick candy you enjoy! 🍬 It’s amazing how much Halloween has changed over the years. Do you think fewer kids are out trick-or-treating now, or is it just your neighborhood that’s gotten quieter?

Watching movies on TV. It’s been several years since we had anyone trick or treating in our neighborhood. I miss seeing their costumes. They are always so cute.
Thanks for sharing that @Gayle B. ! It’s a bit sad when the trick-or-treaters stop coming by, isn’t it? The little costumes always made the night feel so festive. 🎃 Do you think families in your area have just moved away, or are kids celebrating differently these days?

Home. It was my hubby and I watching TV and catching up on the shows we recorded during the week.
Thanks for sharing that @techgrandma ! Sounds like a relaxing night in — sometimes those quiet evenings together are the best. 📺 Did you end up watching anything especially good or just clearing out the week’s recordings?

I gave my neighbors daughter a bag with stickers, a book and note pad all of butterflies as that is what she likes.
No trick or treaters at my place.
Spent the day organizing paperwork for income tax return.
Thanks for sharing that @Hazeleyes ! How thoughtful of you to make a special little gift — I’m sure your neighbor’s daughter loved the butterfly theme. 🦋 Sounds like you had a productive day, too! Do you usually like to get your tax paperwork sorted early, or was this a “get it done while it’s quiet” kind of day?

Thanks for sharing that @Wellman ! Wow, that sounds like such a wonderful community event — and what a turnout! 🚒🍿 I love that each trunk told a different Bible story, that’s such a creative idea. Do you help out with this event every year, or was this your first time volunteering?

Thanks for sharing that @eahousley ! It sounds like you had a steady stream of visitors — always nice to see families out enjoying the night together. 🍫 That was so kind of you to donate the extra candy, too! Do you usually get a lot of trick-or-treaters each year, or was this one busier than usual?

Thanks for sharing that @Gibb ! What a lovely family tradition — pizza, candy, and a full house of happy kids sounds like the perfect Halloween! 🍕🎃 Do you and your husband ever dress up for fun, or do you leave the costumes to the little ones?
