Hey GrayViners!

Sundays hit different, don’t they? Whether it’s that quiet cup of coffee on the porch, a big family meal, or folding laundry while watching an old Western—there’s something about this day that just feels like a soft reset button for the week ahead.

So I’ve gotta ask: What’s your perfect Sunday “reset” routine? What little rituals help you recharge before Monday rolls in?

Personally, I like to keep it simple. I take a slow walk if the weather’s kind, solve a crossword puzzle, and watch a few episodes of my favorite show to round things out.

Tell me yours! Whether it’s church, gardening, or slipping into your comfiest socks and watching Wheel of Fortune reruns—I want to hear it all.

Share below and let’s see just how many ways there are to turn a quiet Sunday into something a little special.

Cheers!
Blue 💙

Early morning I clean the bathroom as the rest of the cleaning I do Saturday. Than I give my mom a bath (she is disabled and blind) and set her hair. The rest of the day I pay bills, and spend the rest of the day relaxing mostly watching tv or read a book.

Sundays are my special day. Its the day of rest and thats exactly what I do. I have my coffee in the quiet morning while I read my emails, a bit of my book. Catch up on my game. Once I get dressed, its my crochet, I crochet lots of critters and dragons and just fun stuff. Its my passion. And watch movies while I'm crocheting.
Peaceful Sunday to you all ✌️😊

Ususally I'll call my Mom and we'll talk for an hour or so. Then I put on a Discovery show with Dave Attenborough. I find his voice very soothing. I just let that run on the TV for most of the rest of the day.

I try to journal. I’m using an app called Clarity. It’s helping me express my thoughts and feelings about the trauma from my childhood. Military Sexual Assault. I have PTSD. Journaling helps me sort out where certain feelings originated. 💁

I start my pot of coffee and go get my Sunday paper. The biggest high light of that is Mr. and Mrs. Pickle. They are a hoot and so typical of older folks and with some dementia. Love them

We (hubby and I) usually have a leisurely breakfast of Belgium waffles if we don't go out to eat, and the rest of the day, we either crash and watch movies or go out shopping.

Thanks so much for sharing your Sunday routine @Hazeleyes — it sounds like a full but meaningful day. It’s lovely that you care for your mom so thoughtfully, and still make time to wind down with a good book or some TV. Do you have a favorite author or show you turn to for that Sunday unwind? And do you find that doing your chores early helps you feel more relaxed for the rest of the day?

Thanks for sharing your beautiful Sunday ritual @lindaswilliams55 — it truly does sound peaceful and soul-nourishing. Crocheting dragons and critters while watching movies? That’s such a fun and creative way to relax! We’d love to see some of your creations if you're up for sharing — feel free to post them in our Craft Corner forum! Do you have a favorite project you've made recently, or one that was particularly tricky but rewarding?

Thank you for sharing @NIBOR0 — that sounds like a lovely, calming Sunday routine. There’s something so comforting about chatting with your mom and then unwinding with the gentle narration of David Attenborough. He really does have a wonderfully soothing voice! Do you have a favorite series of his, or a nature documentary that’s stuck with you? And has this been your go-to Sunday setup for a while now, or something you’ve settled into more recently?

I go to Sunday school and church, then relax at home, reading, entering sweepstakes, calling friends, etc.
Thanks for sharing your Sunday routine @Marilea — it sounds like a lovely mix of spiritual connection, relaxation, and staying in touch with people you care about. A bit of everything to fill your cup for the week ahead! Do you enter sweepstakes regularly? That sounds like a fun hobby — have you ever won anything exciting? And what kind of books do you enjoy curling up with on a quiet Sunday?

Thank you so much for sharing something so personal @Gayle B. — it takes courage to speak openly about your healing journey. I'm really glad to hear that journaling and the Clarity app are helping you process those deep emotions and experiences. That kind of inner work is incredibly important and commendable. Do you find that journaling on Sundays sets the tone for your week ahead? And have you found any other tools or practices that complement your journaling, like meditation, art, or music?

Thanks for sharing your Sunday tradition @Arkie98 — there’s something so comforting about a fresh pot of coffee and the Sunday paper in hand. And I love that Mr. and Mrs. Pickle bring a bit of humor to your morning! Do you read the comics first, or save them for last as a treat? And do you have any other favorites from the paper, or is it all about those Pickles for you?

Thanks for sharing @NancyCL — your Sunday sounds like the perfect blend of indulgence and relaxation! Belgian waffles for breakfast, then a choice between a movie day or a bit of shopping… sounds like a lovely way to spend time together. Do you have a go-to waffle topping, or do you switch it up each week? And what kind of shopping do you both enjoy — browsing local markets, window shopping, or something more specific?

I am an early riser as working for D.O.T. had to get up at 3:15 am to get to work in Brooklyn by 5 am. Prior to that my work hours were 6 AM start. Even now being retired I am up early as Bruno, my cat wants to be fed between 3:30 - 4 AM as he is used to my early hours.
Authors I like: Nora Roberts and Robert B. Parker but read all kinds of books by other authors.
Sundays my mom likes to watch Murder She Wrote. That is on from 8 AM till 6 PM.

Thanks for sharing that @Hazeleyes ! Waking up at 3:15 AM for work all those years must’ve really set your internal clock—no wonder Bruno expects breakfast before sunrise! 😄 Cats do have a way of keeping us on schedule. It’s great that you enjoy a mix of books—Nora Roberts and Robert B. Parker are both fantastic in their own ways. And how sweet that you spend Sundays with your mom watching Murder, She Wrote! Do you both have a favorite episode or detective besides Jessica Fletcher?

Murder She Wrote had a few good episodes. Do not recall the name of episodes as they all are pretty good.

like to watch Castle when I find it on.
Crossing Jordan is another favorite.
Manix
Criminal Minds.
I used to like Colombo

No, not yet. I’m new to writing anything down about myself because I’m afraid of someone else ‘seeing‘ what I have been through right there in black and white. It’s probably silly thinking but that’s where I’m at presently. I’m realizing that if I set one day a week on Sunday I feel more like I can continue journaling. What do ya think about that?

I Love Criminal Minds, too! Some of the episodes really stick with you, don’t they? You’ve got a great list there—Castle and Crossing Jordan are solid picks. I haven’t seen Manix yet but Columbo is such a classic. There’s just something about those older mystery shows that still holds up!
