3-Ingredient Salsa Chicken
This 3-Ingredient Salsa Chicken is a weeknight lifesaver—just chicken, salsa verde, and cheese come together for a juicy, flavorful main that’s ready in about 30 minutes. Serve it whole or shred it for tacos, burritos, or rice bowls.

Ingredients:

Ingredients:
- 4 (8-ounce) boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 cup thick jarred salsa verde (such as Casa Martinez)
- 4 ounces pepper Jack cheese, shredded (about 1 cup)
- Kosher salt, to taste
- Chopped fresh cilantro, for garnish (optional)
- Preheat oven to 425°F. Arrange a rack in the center of the oven.
- Season chicken evenly with black pepper. Place in a 12-inch ovenproof skillet or 3-quart baking dish. Drizzle with olive oil and pour salsa verde over the chicken.
- Bake until salsa is bubbly and a thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the chicken registers 140°F, about 20–25 minutes.
- Remove from oven and turn oven to broil. Sprinkle cheese over the chicken and return to oven. Broil until a thermometer registers 165°F and cheese is melted and browned in spots, about 4 minutes.
- Season with salt to taste and garnish with cilantro, if desired.
