Arthur's Last Round

Arthur was 90 years old and had played golf nearly every day since retiring 25 years earlier. One afternoon, he came home looking glum.

“That’s it,” he told his wife. “I’m giving up golf. My eyesight’s so bad now, once I hit the ball I can’t see where it goes.”

His wife nodded sympathetically, then brightened. “Why not take my brother with you tomorrow? Give it one more try.”

Arthur shook his head. “Your brother is 103 years old! How’s he going to help?”

“He might be very old,” she said, “but his eyesight is perfect.”

So the next day, Arthur and his brother-in-law headed to the course. Arthur teed up, took a mighty swing, and squinted down the fairway.

“Did you see where it went?” Arthur asked.

“Of course I did,” the brother-in-law said proudly. “My eyesight is perfect.”

“Well?” Arthur asked. “Where’d it go?”

The old man thought for a moment and replied, “I can’t remember.” 😅
