Canopy Bed

Do you remember when bedrooms looked like this? Ruffled bedspreads, matching curtains, and a canopy to top it all off—a cozy, coordinated look that felt so put together. Some rooms were soft and sweet with pastels, while others popped with bold florals. What color or pattern do you remember most? Tell us what your room looked like back then!

Yes, I had a canopy bed. I was the only girl, so I had my own room. The boys shared a bedroom. I got my canopy bed for my 13 birthday. It was pretty similar to this one. The furniture was white, the canopy was blue. I still have it. When our Daughter grew up, we put it her bedroom. I still have the complete set. I have several Graddaughters now, they have their own style, so the set is in storage.

That’s wonderful that you’ve kept the whole set! It sounds like it holds so many sweet memories—from your teenage years to your daughter’s room. Maybe one day one of your granddaughters will fall in love with its charm too. It’s lovely to have something with such a special history in the family. Thank you for sharing your story with us, @Birdlady05!
