They say laughter is the best medicine, but sometimes, it can be a little too much of a good thing.

Alright, here’s a wild one for you. In 1975, a 50-year-old bricklayer named Alex Mitchell literally died laughing while watching an episode of The Goodies.

The guy laughed non-stop for 25 minutes straight before slumping over from heart failure. And get this—his widow didn’t send an angry letter or blame the show.

Nope. She actually thanked the cast for making his final moments so joyful!

Can you imagine a funnier (or weirder) way to go? What’s the hardest you’ve ever laughed—like, gasping for air, tears streaming down your face, stomach hurting? Would The Goodies still get you today, or do you think comedy has changed too much? Let’s hear your best “I nearly died laughing” stories below!
