Do you have light-hearted book recommendations?

I’ll be taking a few days off in the coming holidays and I plan to finish a book or two. Do you have any recommendations for light, enjoyable reads? I’d love to hear your suggestions!

Hi, I enjoy your posts. You asked for book recommendations - i recently retired and decided to join Once Upon a Book Club, they send you one book a month with 3-4 "gifts" you get to a certain page and there is a sticky note saying "open your gift" which relates to what you are reading (i.e., cold scotland castle, you received a blanket). Two of the books i got were The Spellshop by Sarah Beth Durst and The Lonely Hours by Shannon Morgan. both good reads, i would recommend joining the book club - it's fun and nice to get surprise gifts, it is a bit costly, around $60 a month but that's what i would have spent on gas going to and from work :)

Have started the Jim Chee/Joe Leaphorn mysteries by Tony and Anne Hillerman. The names and places are real. Also try the Margaret Coel mysteries. Same thing. Places, names and events are real.

I love Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum Series. I listen to them on tape and the reader is wonderful. I usually listen while I drive and I have actually found myself laughing out loud at times. I am usually waiting for the next one to come out. I actually leave some books I bought waiting so I can enjoy the newest one of hers.
