In a series of posts on his social media platform, Elon Musk suggested that fraud in "federal entitlement" programs, including Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid, “exceeds the combined sum of every private scam you've ever heard by FAR.”

He also claimed that billions of dollars in entitlement payments are being made to individuals without Social Security Numbers (SSN) or any form of temporary ID.

Max Richtman, president and CEO of the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare, expressed concern that Musk’s role in overseeing the Treasury’s payment system could impact trust among seniors and individuals with disabilities.

In response to these concerns, a New York judge has temporarily barred Musk and the DOGE from accessing personal financial data of Americans in Treasury Department records.

I am all four cutting waste and making sure fraud is not an issue to the extent that that is possible. However, I am totally against someone who I have not elected privately looking at these files without transparency. This government is made up of we the people, and we have the right to go into government buildings and not be turned away like the Congressman, were when they tried to find out what musk was doing.
