General Discussion Thread 01.12.2025

Happy Sunday, folks! Welcome to today’s General Discussion Thread! I’m Blue, and I’m thrilled to be here with you all on this lovely morning! As this is my first time writing for The GrayVine, I thought I’d kick things off by introducing myself. I’m a firm believer that coffee is a food group, I can’t resist a good pun, and I’m on a mission to bring a little happiness and humor to your day.

If you’d let me, I would love to get to know each and every one of you better, too! However, this General Discussion Thread is created just for you, so feel free to engage with your fellow members if you please!

My question for you today: What is something you’re proud of?

I’m eager to hear your answers! Let’s celebrate those little victories, big accomplishments, and everything in between.

I walked across the country (nine months, 3,700 miles) on the GREAT PEACE MARCH for Nuclear Disarmament (1986). Across vast deserts, high mountains, plains of endless corn - in burning sun and pouring rain - my partner Rhoda and I read out loud to each other all 37 Shakespeare plays.

In a senior community of 10,000 residents my late wife June and I founded the Rossmoor Shakespeare Society which we ran for 14 years. Yes, I have been a Shakespeare fanatic for over 60 years (I'm now in my 86th year).

I now write a Shakespeare column for the Rossmoor News.
