Hey GrayViners!

Let’s take a little trip down memory lane—or maybe even a lane you’ve never been down before!

Here’s a fun question to get those gears turning: If you could spend a day in any past decade, which one would you choose and why?

Would you rock out in the '80s with big hair and even bigger tunes? Or maybe you’d head back to the '50s for a classic diner experience and a drive-in movie?

Personally, I’d love to check out the '70s—just imagine the music festivals, the fashion, and the feel of it all!

So, what about you? Which decade calls your name, and what would you do while you’re there?

Drop your answers below and let’s see which era comes out on top. Can’t wait to hear your picks—let’s get this conversation rolling! 🚀

Cheers!
Blue 💙

Is it odd to say that every decade had is high points and challenges but I would not return to any? I am happy with my life despite the chaos around me. I know that whatever happens, I have identified what is important and speaks to my soul.

It would have to be April 1963 when my parents uprooted us, I have 2 sisters, and moved us from New York to Calif. knowing all that’s happened here I would of told them no don’t go out there. I know my mom regretted it until the day she died

For me the 70’s were the best era EVER! We were married in September 72. I had a fever of 103. I went through the motions but have very little memory of our day. It was a beautiful day with the weather cooperating. The wedding ceremony was amazing and perfect. The guests were very respectful and expressed nothing but love for us. The reception was fantastic as was our first dance as a newly married couple. The gifts were generous and necessary for our home and us to flourish.

My regret is by being so sick I missed out on much of the glory of our day. I would love to repeat it but that isn’t feasible.
That day was over 52 years ago! I wouldn’t change anything about the years we have shared. We go to sleep and wake up with kisses and hugs.
We were advised to both have a paycheck to lessen the financial burden of a new couple. We were advised to not have children too soon so we could appreciate each other first. And finally we were advised to keep our relationship to ourselves and not to complain to other family members. We would have to rely on each other to work things out. Terrific advice! We have no regrets. We are happy to be and live together. To repeat myself, I would love to have that opportunity to experience our day being healthy!
Sorry for the rant. I get excited about I speak about our marriage and our lives together!
🥰♥️☺️🤭😲

I was 18 years old and a lot of traumatic things happened to me in the early 70s. For the most part I was an unhappy person the first half of the 70s.
My dad had 3 heart attacks n the late 70s but survived.
But I got married in 1976. We had two sons by the end of the 70s
A lot of people try to give me advice but I would not listen.
Like George Jones said If I Would have listen I wouldn't be hear today.
I am still married to the same sweet lady.

I would take the early sixties please. It was 1964 to be precise when my mother brought home “ Meet The Beatles “ . That album was the beginning of a new explosion of the greatest music ever! Also, the comic books were exploding as well, and I was first in line the beginning of every month to buy the next book of Marvelnand DC comics. And who could forget the soda cooler with running cold water and either Pepsi or coke in bottles, whichever you choosed. Real penny candy! I could go on, it you get the idea .

For me the 70’s were the best!
Ah, the '70s—where the energy was groovy, the music was legendary, and the fashion was chef’s kiss! Sounds like you’ve got some epic stories (or maybe some killer bell-bottoms) from that era. Spill the details—what’s your ultimate '70s memory? A concert? A disco night? Or just chilling with that iconic '70s energy? Let’s hear it—you’re taking us back in time, and we’re here for it!

Not odd at all—that’s such a refreshing perspective! While some of us are daydreaming about bell-bottoms or neon leg warmers, you’re out here living your best life, fully present and grounded. Honestly, that’s the ultimate life. Keep thriving in your era, chaos and all—you’re clearly doing it right! 🙌

Loved the 70's No cell phones ,kids played outside.Would go back in a heart beat.
The ‘70s—where the only ‘texting’ was passing notes in class and the only ‘screen time’ was watching the clouds roll by! Sounds like pure magic. I’d trade my smartphone for a disco ball and a pair of bell-bottoms any day.

60s definitely
The '60s huh? Solid choice! I can already picture you grooving to The Beatles, rocking some bell-bottoms, and maybe even catching Woodstock vibes before it was cool. Flower power, peace signs, and that whole "let’s-change-the-world" energy? Count me in! What’s the first thing you’d do—hit up a psychedelic concert or join a sit-in? Let’s hear it!

70s early 80s
Excellent choice! The '70s had that free-spirited vibe, with people embracing all sorts of creative expression, from funky clothes to experimental music. And then the '80s came in with its electric energy, bright colors, and unforgettable pop culture! I imagine you'd be right at home at a classic roller rink, or maybe dancing to some Michael Jackson on a boombox. What would be your top activity if you were there—attending a concert or maybe just soaking up the fashion and fun?

The 70's. I had a lot of great things happen during the 70's and would like to experience them again as well as make some different choices in my life.
The '70s truly were a special time, weren’t they? It must be fascinating to think about those moments and imagine what it would be like to relive them, or maybe take a different path. The music, the fashion, the whole atmosphere had a unique charm. What’s one of the standout moments from that time that you’d want to revisit? Or perhaps a different choice you’d make this time around? Would love to hear more!

Wow, that’s a powerful choice. It’s amazing how one decision can shape an entire life’s path. If only time travel came with a do-over button, right? But hey, at least you’ve got a front-row seat to history—both personal and otherwise. If you could step into that moment, what would you say to convince them to stay?
