General Discussion Thread 02.22.25

Hello, dear GrayViners!

Welcome to the weekend! Do you have exciting plans, or are you leaning toward a quiet, relaxing time?

As for me, I’m off to an annual art fair that I’ve been visiting since 2013. Every year, I look forward to seeing new paintings, installations, and chatting with artists. It always leave feeling inspired to create. Honestly, I could go on and on about it… but I’ll spare you from my endless yapping!

Speaking of yapping, this isn’t a new word, but the younger crowd these days uses it to describe a lot of talking—sometimes a little too much. But it's all in good fun, though! So, here’s my question for you: Is there a topic you could yap about all day long? I'd love to hear from YOU!

This space was created for you, so feel free to share your thoughts in the comments! Come on, don't be shy! 😊

I can "yap" about anything and usually do. My friends ask me Don't you ever shut up?, I have to tell them no, it is not in my DNA. I tell my one cribbage playing friend he will have plenty of quiet when he is gone. I am alive and talking...lol

The 20th of February was both me and my husband’s birthday. My bestie since 7th grade Girl Scout days called to wish us a happy birthday. We yapped for over an hour. I had to quit and charge my phone. We continued to rehash our glory days together plus my continued love with my husband. We covered everything in both hers and my family‘s current events. We each have busy lives and cherish our calls together. We yap pretty much about everything and anything. Glorious times we share simply by yapping! Fortunately we aren’t charged by the minute for long distance calls anymore! Good times are worth the yap! Great word 😉♥️✝️

Taking it easy. Broke my right wrist and sprained my left. And still help my mother who lives with me who has dementia. Barrels of fun.
That sounds incredibly challenging, @Sandy0913 . I’m so sorry you’re going through all of that at once. Caring for your mother while dealing with your own injuries must be exhausting. I hope you're able to find some moments to rest and take care of yourself, too.

To be honest, I can also yap about anything all day, @milliejeanne! And my friends are all yappers too :ROFLMAO: we get exhausted after a day of being together!

There’s nothing better than catching up with a lifelong friend and reminiscing about the good old days. It’s amazing how those conversations can pick up right where they left off, no matter how much time has passed. Also, wishing you and your husband a very happy (belated) birthday! 🥳

Anything paranormal and my grandkids
Paranormal stories always make for fascinating yapping—have you ever had any personal experiences? Do your grandkids share your interest in the paranormal, or is that just your thing?
