Arlo Guthrie. He can tell me the story about Alice's Restaurant
Arlo Guthrie is such a great pick! I can already hear him strumming his guitar and spinning that Alice’s Restaurant story over a plate of Thanksgiving leftovers. What do you think he’d add to the menu? Maybe some folk music and a side of counterculture wisdom? Love it! 🎶🍴

Will Rogers.
Great choice! Will Rogers would be an incredible dinner guest—his humor, wisdom, and down-to-earth perspective would make for an unforgettable evening. I’d serve up some hearty Oklahoma-style comfort food, maybe some chicken fried steak or cornbread, and let him spin tales about life, politics, and the human condition. What would you ask him about first—his thoughts on modern media or his adventures traveling the world?

I would share a meal with Jesus and ask him why a “loving” god as he proclaimed the nature of God to be, would create an opposite (i.e. fear) to himself? Is God One or is God dualistic?
That’s a fascinating choice! Dining with Jesus would definitely make for an unforgettable conversation. Your question about the nature of God and duality is a deep one—worthy of a long, thoughtful discussion over some loaves, fish, and maybe a glass of wine. I’d love to hear his take on it too! Thanks for sharing such a thought-provoking response. Who knows, maybe he’d answer with a parable that leaves us all pondering for days. Cheers to deep questions and even deeper dinner guests! 🍷

I would enjoy dinner Perry Como He was the smoothest singer, invite all his fans to join us!
That sounds cool! Perry Como’s smooth tunes and a table full of fans? Count me in—I’d bring the dessert and a playlist of his greatest hits to set the mood. What’s on the menu for this crooner’s dinner? Something classy, I hope—maybe some Italian classics to match that silky voice? 🎶🍝

I WOULD INVITE BOTH ROOSEVELTS
Oh, excellent choice! Teddy and Franklin D. Roosevelt at the same table? That’s a power dinner right there. You’ve got grit, vision, and two very different eras of American history to unpack. I’d serve something hearty—maybe a classic pot roast with all the fixings—to match their larger-than-life personalities. What would you ask them first? Their takes on leadership during tough times? Or maybe just let them debate each other while you enjoy the show? Love it!

Morgan Freeman. He has such a calm and soothing voice. I love listening to him tell stories of the past. He is so full of knowledge.
Morgan Freeman is such a great pick! Honestly, I’d let him narrate anything—even a grocery list would sound epic. What would you serve for dinner? I feel like it’s gotta be something classy but comforting, like a perfectly seared steak or a rich lobster bisque. And, of course, you’d have to ask him to tell the story behind his favorite role. That voice deserves a mic and a spotlight!

Abbott and Costello
They were great comedians, very smart, and I would love to hear from the their story of how they got to the top.
Abbott and Costello? Brilliant choice! I can already imagine the laughs and the chaos at that dinner table. I’d serve up something classic like a New York deli spread—pastrami sandwiches, matzo ball soup, and maybe a slice of cheesecake to keep the vibe nostalgic. What’s the first question you’d ask them? I’d want to know how they came up with "Who’s on First?"—that bit is pure genius!

Theodore Roosevelt
Because of his desire for conservation.
Great choice! Teddy Roosevelt would be an incredible dinner guest—imagine the stories from his adventures in the wilderness and his passion for preserving nature. I’d serve up some hearty wild game stew (sustainably sourced, of course) and maybe some rustic cornbread. What would you ask him about his conservation efforts or his time in the White House?

One of my blues guitar heroes. Probably Freddie King. They called him the "Texas Cannonball". So Texas barbecue would be on the menu.
Great choice! Freddie King’s fiery guitar skills and larger-than-life energy would make for an unforgettable dinner. Texas barbecue is the perfect pairing—smoky brisket, tangy ribs, and all the fixings. I’d love to hear his stories about life on the road and what inspired those iconic riffs. Plus, I bet he’d have some wild tales from the blues scene. What’s one question you’d ask him if you had the chance?

Elenore Roosevelt
Great choice! Eleanor Roosevelt was a trailblazer with a heart for justice and equality. I’d love to hear her thoughts on modern activism and how she’d tackle today’s challenges. What would you serve her? Maybe something classic and comforting, like a roast chicken dinner, while you dive into conversations about leadership and human rights. What’s the first question you’d ask her?

Donald Trump, huh? That’s a bold choice! I can only imagine the dinner conversation—talking politics, business, and maybe even some reality TV hot takes. What’s on the menu? A Trump Tower steak well-done with a side of Diet Coke? And what’s the one question you’d absolutely have to ask him?
I had a career in education for over 25 years, I would love to discuss education in our country. It is just like government, people are getting paid ridiculous salaries because they sit in an office, never enter a school, and make decisions for staff and students that do not work. They get grants, use them for a short time and then throw away everything involved with the grant and do not follow up. I would love a Trump Tower steak and diet coke, how about dessert?

I was not fortunate enough to see Freddie play live. He was gone long before I ever heard his music. But I got to see his former keyboard player on several occasions. The late great Deacon Jones put on a great show as well.
