Lombardelli's Pizzeria. Nine dollars for 21 hrs work.
What a great first-job memory—thank you for sharing it @families2008 ! Lombardelli’s Pizzeria sounds like the kind of place that left a lasting impression. $9 for 21 hours… hard to imagine now, but I bet it felt pretty rewarding at the time! Did working there spark a love for pizza, or maybe put you off it for a while? 😄

First job working at a burger place. earned enough money to buy my 1st car.
Thanks for sharing that @diannnoe — what an awesome feeling that must’ve been! Flipping burgers and saving up for your very first car is such a great example of hard work paying off. Do you remember what kind of car it was? And was that job your first taste of independence, both on the job and on the road?

Besides babysitting, I started in retail running the register and helping customers. I believe I made $2.90 per hour
Loved it
Thanks for sharing that @buttercup914 ! Starting out in retail and running the register is such a classic first job experience—and it’s great to hear you loved it! $2.90 an hour might not sound like much now, but I bet it felt pretty exciting at the time. Do you remember what kind of store it was? And did that early retail experience lead to more customer service roles down the line?
