Let’s take a trip down memory lane and have some fun with this one: What’s one skill you’ve mastered that today’s younger generation wouldn’t even know where to start?

Maybe you can read a map without a GPS barking directions at you? Or perhaps you know the fine art of balancing a checkbook, writing in flawless cursive, or fixing a radio with just a screwdriver and some good old-fashioned patience? Heck, some even know how to use a rotary phone without breaking a sweat!

It’s amazing to think about the little (or big) skills we picked up over the years that have quietly faded into history.

Tune up your own lawn mower and getting it ready for the year. Change the spark plug and change the filter. Make sure it has the right oil and gas for the lawn mower. Most of all I am a woman who can do all these things. Today's generation would get it done at a shop.
