How are you doing, dear GrayViners? đź’• I hope the sun is shining, the birds are singing, and the flowers are blooming wherever you are.

Do you have a favorite springtime tradition from your childhood? Maybe it was decorating Easter eggs, flying kites, or enjoying a special treat to welcome the season. Do you still keep that tradition alive today, or have you started new ones? Share your answer in the comments below!

As always, I look forward to reading your answers!

It isn’t really a Spring tradition but I couldn’t wait to go out our back door and see the Crocuses blooming in my mother’s flower bed. They were the first sign of Spring. Oh my goodness, such a beautiful site

Planting my flowers. I have a hard time getting around. My daughter and great granddaughter always help me. It is a big event. We have lunch then plant.

I loved Easter egg hunts that we did. I did this for my niece and nephews when they were younger. What fun I had hiding the eggs for them to find.

This is actually Easter but still Spring. My favorite thing was getting a new dress, new little white shoes and (oh MY) the beautiful Easter bonnets.
Oh, how special that must have been @rdenomie ! There’s nothing quite like the excitement of a brand-new Easter outfit! Do you still remember a favorite dress from back then?

Getting outside and playing in the grass in back yard. Helping my mom do gardening. Swinging on the big old iron swing.
That sounds like the perfect way to soak in the fresh spring air! There’s something about swinging under the sunshine that makes childhood feel extra magical. Do you still enjoy gardening now, @sunnysteve?

It sounds like your mother’s flower bed is a beautiful sight to behold. Do you happen to have any photos— from back then or even now—that you’d be willing to share? We’d love to see those blooms!

That sounds like such a lovely tradition, especially with your daughter and great-granddaughter helping! Turning it into a big event with lunch makes it even more special. Do you have a favorite flower to plant each year?

I Just love Easter and getting outside in the nice weather! I grew up in Wa state so I'm a country girl! Need my time in nature!
I also crave time in nature! Do you have a favorite springtime spot where you enjoy spending time outside?

Oh, what fun! I bet your niece and nephews had the best time with you—did you ever have a “prize egg” with something special inside?

Going for walks looking for new growth, or as my Grandmother would say looking for "rebirth."
I think's that's a really beautiful way to welcome the season. And "rebirth" is spot on. Spring really is a reminder of new beginnings. Do you still go for those walks when spring arrives?
