We are going to Pennhurst. It is a mental asylum near Philadelphia. There is.a paranormal event coming up
Lots of fun.
Thanks so much for sharing @Gibb — that sounds like such a unique experience! Pennhurst definitely has a fascinating (and eerie!) history. A paranormal event there must’ve been quite the adventure! Did anything spooky happen while you were there? Or was it more about the atmosphere and stories? We’d love to hear how it all went — sounds like a memorable time!

Thank you so much for sharing that special milestone with us @Arkie98 ! What a proud moment it must have been to see your #1 grandson graduate from high school. It really is amazing how quickly they grow up, isn’t it? Has he decided what he’ll be studying when he heads off to college? We’d love to hear more about what’s next for him! Thanks again for letting us share in your joy.
Not sure what he will start out with. Some type of technical business. Analyzing products being made and sent out. There are openings with some Tractor companies but just starting so will be interesting to see what he ends up for a major and a minor. One day he runs around in his little green machine and now he has grown up and headed to college. Will be quite an adjustment for him and he definitely will be changed alot when he comes home.

It’s such an exciting (and emotional!) time watching them take those first big steps into adulthood, isn’t it? It sounds like he’s got a curious mind and a practical streak—perfect for a technical or engineering-type field. And those little green machine days turning into college life… what a journey! You’re right, he’ll come back changed in all the best ways—more independent, more grown-up, and with a whole new outlook. Wishing him all the best as he finds his path!

Thanks so much for sharing @Hazeleyes — what a lovely way to celebrate your mom’s birthday! A belated birthday getaway sounds like a beautiful treat, and how special that her birthday falls on Cinco de Mayo! Did your cousins end up being available in Doylestown, or did you head to the Pocono Mountains instead? Either way, it sounds like a meaningful trip. We hope you both had a wonderful time making memories together!
We will be going to Doylestown in August. We had to delay the trip because of my cat suffering from stress and UTI (he is back to being his younger self now), different problems with new aide starting for care for my mom. (New one started yesterday, and seems okay. The one we had last week was great but she was only a fill in for the week.) Our cousin had events (graduation, birthday and a wedding they were attending).

Thanks for the update @Hazeleyes ! It sounds like there’s been a lot going on, so I’m glad things are starting to settle. I’m relieved to hear your cat is feeling better—poor little guy, that must have been stressful for both of you. Fingers crossed the new aide continues to work out well for your mom’s care. And it sounds like your cousin’s had a whirlwind of celebrations—what a busy time! Doylestown in August sounds like a lovely plan. Hope the trip goes smoothly when the time comes!
