My parents. They are both gone now but l learned so much from them while they were alive
Thank you for sharing @angib55 . It’s clear your parents left a lasting impact on your life — what a gift to carry their lessons with you. Even though they’re no longer here, it’s beautiful that their wisdom still lives on in you. Is there something in particular they taught you that you find yourself passing on to others?

My godmother taught me a lot. About 50 years ago she taught me how to recycle and repurpose things. So yeah I still recycle. She also taught me the value of a doll. How to stretch that dollar and also ways to save. We opened a bank account for me on one of my visits. My responsibility was to send x amount of money each pay check for her to deposit into my account. How grateful I am for having her in my life.
Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful tribute to your godmother @Hazeleyes . What a wise and caring person she must have been — teaching you practical skills like recycling, saving, and the value of responsibility. It’s amazing how those lessons from 50 years ago are still with you today. Do you find yourself sharing any of her wisdom with others around you?

I was teaching my sisters and also shared with my nieces and nephews. They are grateful for some knowledge. You know the saying “you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make it drink.” I clip coupons which my godmother taught me. I told them that. One sister could not be bothered doing that for the longest time. With her boyfriend that clips coupons she started clipping and using them as well.
